What a week! I know we've all been through a hurricane of emotions, which I think is pretty normal when your kids are told to stay home due to an armed and dangerous, mentally unstable person. I've read many of the posts by local moms, including those on the Macaroni Kid Longmont FB page, sharing their fear, their courage and great ideas on to how to talk to our kids about this difficult subject. I love our community and I think these posts remind us that we aren't alone, and that's huge!
With this being a holiday weekend, we have the opportunity to celebrate our families, hug our children and feel grateful for all that we have.
