Mead Community Day is our largest annual event hosted on the second Saturday of September (9/14/2024) from 4 to 9:30 p.m.
As with previous years, Mead-area residents, organizations, and businesses are invited to a day of games and activities, live music, vendor booths, food trucks, a beverage garden, and fireworks! All the festivities happen at Mead Town Park, 441 Third Street.
NEW in 2024: Do you have what it takes to win? Challenge your friends to a match in the Inflatable Laser Tag Arena! Then, soar to new heights on the Bungee Trampoline, where the sky is the limit! While you're having fun, don’t forget to check out all the delicious food trucks.
Stage Lineup: Join us for a stellar lineup! Opening the event is Eric Golden, a Denver native singer and guitarist known for his captivating performances throughout Colorado and surrounding areas. Eric's show promises a journey through decades of Classic Country. Expect to hear covers of legends like Dwight Yoakam, Merle Haggard, Waylon Jennings, Buck Owens, Johnny Cash, Hank Williams, George Strait, and more, along with his original music released in 2024. Headlining the day is The Long Run, 'Colorado's Tribute to The Eagles.' This band, hailing from the Front Range of the Rocky Mountains in Northern Colorado, has been thrilling audiences since 2009 and is known for their faithful re-creation of the 70's sound of America's best-selling rock band. Don’t miss this fantastic day of music and community celebration!
Next cornhole tournament champ? Do you have what it takes to be the next Community Day Cornhole Champ? If you do (or you think you do), sign up to participate in the Mead Area Chamber of Commerce's annual cornhole tournament! Proceeds will go toward the Shields 616 program benefiting the Mead Police Department. The cost is $50, and you can learn more about the tournament through the Mead Area Chamber of Commerce.
