Dogs Enjoy Afternoon Reading (D.E.A.R.) is probably the cutest program at the Library! This free program is designed for new readers and kids who want to practice their reading with a non-judgmental, furry audience a.k.a. a trained therapy dog. Each child reads at their own pace to one or more of our friendly dogs. Parents, guardians and siblings are welcome to read to or help newer readers. No registration is necessary, but please check-in with the staff member at the event to get on the list to read, sometimes there is a little wait. We will have a selection of books on hand to read or you can bring your own!
